Research at the University of Exeter focuses on some of the most fundamental issues facing humankind today, from climate change to conflicts in the Middle East.



As a result of its performance in the RAE, the University received a 3.7% increase to its Government grant, the largest percentage increase of any of England’s other research-intensive universities.

The University of Exeter is investing £80 million in science, engineering and medicine over the next three years. This investment includes funding from internal and external sources across five themes of activity:
