Exeter College

Exeter College is an exciting and purposeful tertiary college that offers a fantastic range of full-time and part-time academic and vocational courses, from entry level up to university level for school students and adults. We also work closely with our local schools to deliver qualifications to over 600 14 – 16 year olds.
It is the best performing further education college in Devon in the level 3 Government league tables and is proud of its students’ achievements - both exam achievements and success in sports, music and community activities.
Full-time science, technology, engineering and maths courses range from A Levels in biology, chemistry, maths and physics to the Extended Diploma in Forensic Science and from entry level maths to electrical engineering. In 2009, A Level students achieved a 100% pass rate in all science subjects, with a 98% and 100% pass rate for Maths and Further Maths respectively. Our International Baccalaureate students often feature in the top percentage in the world and our new Reach Academy offers opportunities to academically gifted full-time students to explore future careers in science, technology, engineering and maths and progress to the country’s top universities.
Students taking industry-led vocational courses in engineering and construction courses, including university level courses, have access to first class specialist workshop facilities and CAD computer suites, as well as important employer links. Exeter College, for example, works in partnership with Flybe to offer a unique 4 year training opportunity in aeronautical engineering. The programme covers a range of engineering qualifications with students spending their final two years working with Flybe to become fully qualified.
